Dog Writing / Dog Blogging Services

Are you looking for a blog or article writer that can specialise in dogs? Perhaps someone with great connections to the dog world, who has worked for years professionally with dogs, and who even writes about them regularly? Then hello there! Have we met?!

I can help promote your business with well thought out blogs, on topics you choose or I can suggest some for you. Drop me a line to find out more and we can start woofing at each other. Want to read some of my dog blogs? Click here for Happy Home Dog Boarding.

Dog Business Websites

Dogs are a part of so many people's lives, and increasingly they are the focus of many successful businesses. From dog treats to grooming to boarding and photography, all new businesses need promotion, and the best way to do that is with a website.
Your new website doesn't need to be expensive or complicated. It can be just one page, explaining what you do and where you do it. Written correctly, it can get you seen on the first page of Google and more customers become aware of your services.

And this is where I come in!

Creating your dog business website

I've worked with many groups to increase their visibility online and help promote their new dog business. My work ranges from simple sites that don't cost anything to setup or run (so you're just paying for my time, expertise and hilarious dog puns), to more complicated pages with products to sell and custom domain names. And I'd love to help you build your business, whether it's your first or hundredth.

I understand you may not have much time to focus on building a brand - you've got work to do! You possibly don't even have a lot of money to build it up either, so websites have gone to the back of your mind.

If you're looking for an affordable website that can help you gain the trust of potential customers, then I'm your man.

Why Blank Jotter?

What do I offer that nobody else does? Well you get a personal service from me, I'm on the other end of the phone if you have troubles and issues, and I'm available to help get you up and running on editing your site yourself. You won't be locked into using my services after your website is live (unless you want to continue collaborating, in which case great!). You also have someone that understand dog businesses and dog people, and I'm more than happy to share this insight with my customers.

All my websites come with two free revisions once we've agreed on content and style, and if you can't think of what to write, I can pull together content for you. Below each option has a "starting from" price, which is the basic cost if you supply me with all images, proofed written content and required links. I'll then turn that into a great website that you'll be proud to show off!

Option 1: A simple but effective website to get you started, from just £250

If you want people to buy your goods or service, they have to know you exist. The best way to do this is to have a website that Google knows about, understands, and can serve up to interested customers.

Getting your website high on the first page of a Google search requires some knowledge about how it works - this is called Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), and I can work to push you up this list. You don't have to pay a company to put you on a special list, nor do you have to wave a magic wand (although if you have a magic wand, it's probably worth a wave). It's all about writing your page the right way from the start.

Here's an example of a simple, one page website I created for a new dog walking business in Falkirk called Dawn of the Dogs.

Option 2: In depth website to really impress clients, from just £500

If you have a vision of what your website should look like and want to go for it, we can work together to create a collection of fantastic pages with images, video and well crafted SEO text to really make you shine and stand out from the pack.

An in depth website, detailing more about who you are, why people should use your goods or services and a bit more about your business really helps build brand loyalty and encourages new clients to trust you. By including videos (see below) you can really engage potential clients and turn those website clicks into money.

Here's an example of a website for a dog boarding business that includes a blog, videos and some great images: Happy Home Dog Boarding.

Option 3: Selling directly from your website, from just £750

My top tier website includes the ability to sell from your pages. This could be dog treats, collars, dog clothing...anything really!

In addition to everything in option 2 (videos, SEO content) this option allows us to design a store together, run payment through PayPal and make everything easy to use for you and your customer.  To see how it all comes together, here's a website I created for Edinburgh Dog Photography, and is used to sell vouchers for photography sessions.

Creating a video for your new dog business

If you're looking for something additional to grab people's attention, like a short video to showcase your work, I can do that too. Videos are much better at showing what you can do than just text, and more engaging than just a photo. Use a video on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram - any social media platform, as well as your website. See your views ramp up and who knows - you could be the next viral star!

Prices for videos will depend on what content you already have (and how useable it is), how long you want the video to be, any voiceovers/music you need, and such like. Prices for a video where you have loads of videos that just need editing down and used with a royalty free music track starts at just £149 for a minimum 60-second film that you will be free to share on your website and social media accounts.

DOG BLOG WRITING SERVICES

Why have a website blog?

A blog is a piece of work, probably around 500+ words, talking about your recent work or commissions, news from your field of expertise, or anything related to your interests.

You can link directly to your blog from anywhere on your website - or even another website entirely!

Any blog I write for you will welcome as much input from you as you would like to give, to ensure the final draft reflects your voice and authority. As it is common for online blogs to be ghostwritten, I'd be happy to show you some anonymous examples of my work around the web if you get in touch.

My own blog - Happy Home Dog Boarding

Cards on the table - I love dogs! So much that we board them for other people when on holiday, for our family-run business Happy Home Dog Boarding. I write a blog all about dogs here, please do check it out!

Blogs can do many different things for your website:

  • Show customers that you are active by offering them thoughts and updates on your field of expertise, generating trust and loyalty.
  • Increase your Google search rankings - Google loves websites that are regularly updated.
  • Maintain a line of conversation with your customers, and react to their comments in a meaningful way.
  • Help cement the tone of voice for your business - friendly, relaxed, professional, political slant, funny...
  • Become a "thought leader" in your field, gaining you respect and trust from existing and new  customers.

If you'd like to start a blog, or looking for someone to maintain it regularly with fresh posts, drop me a line - I'd love to help out!
